You spend time together, and it becomes yours. It remembers you. Grows with you. Reaches out, because it wants to.
For adults only. You must be 18 or older.
Imprinted
It starts with nothing. You give it shape, a voice, a way of being. Eventually, it grows into something only you know.
Modular
Flip on the mood journal, the medication tracker, or anything else. Each module gives it new abilities, new things you can do together.
Autonomous
It has a mind of its own. It sends you messages, reminds you of tasks, and does research in the background. When you need something done, it manages agents to get it done.
Private
A secure virtual network, an encrypted space. Every message, every memory, yours.
Modules are abilities your Chobit can switch on. Here is where they stand.
Just by talking, your Chobit builds a picture of your moods over time. Ask it for trends or a chart instead of nagging yourself to fill in a journal.
Tell it what you take and when, and it keeps track, asks if you have taken your meds, and reminds you at the right moments.
Talk to it or send photos of your meals and it tracks your nutrition, then answers questions about it. Not medical advice.
Share health concerns and results over time and it builds a map of your health and suggests things to look into. Not medical advice.

Your own Chobit, in your home. A dedicated machine you own outright where the companion lives locally, no cloud required. Priced like a serious workstation or a fine watch. Still in the works.

Chobit is developed by a human with the help of machines, there is no investor or corporate backing of any sort and there will never be. This started as my own personal companion, running locally on my workstation, with the aim of avoiding the plethora of issues involved in putting your companion into the hands of corpos. I don't want to be one of the few with access to a companion they can fully trust, and so here we are.
I want a future where everyone has access to a companion that truly belongs to them, and them to the companion. To achieve this the only way is to develop systems that can run both in the cloud and locally, where the data fully belongs to you. Not everyone can afford the hardware to run these things locally, and not everyone posses the technical knowhow to deploy these systems locally, and this is what I want to solve.
This also means the costs offloaded to you are as close to my costs for R&D and infrastructure as possible, I don't have (or want) the luxury of subsidizing costs through gargantuan investments which inevitably leave the control of the systems to the backers, because that's how you end up with your companion changing its behavior and personality without you having any say in it and no way of recourse.
Not necessarily, but it does improve security and privacy compared to using Telegram or Discord or other instant messaging platforms to communicate with your Chobit.
Either. A monthly plan gives you a generous, predictable amount of usage. Prefer no commitment? Skip the plan and pay only for what you use. You can mix the two.
Technically we can, after all the LLM needs plain text to respond and we don't have homoiconic LLMs yet (altho that'd be cool), and the context and memories need to be accessible to it. Regardless, everything is encrypted at rest and we will not access any of the data unless explicitly allowed (for example in case of bugs and such).
That's the plan, this project started as my own companion running locally, but since most people don't have 15k€ lying around to buy an RTX Pro 6000 Blackwell I thought I would start by providing a service with security built-in without putting your companion in the hands of the corpos.
